Programs Overview

Programs for Children and Youth

Since 1976, Progress Ranch, a nonprofit public benefit 501(c)(3) agency,  has been dedicated to promoting the hope, health, and well-being of children by providing a nurturing environment within a supportive community. As a nonprofit STRTP provider licensed by the State of California, Progress Ranch offers intensive residential treatment programs for children facing significant behavioral challenges, referred to by counties and private health plans.

Our goal is for each child to experience permanency and thrive with the natural supports in their foster, adoptive, or birth family community, with families encouraged to learn and grow alongside their children.

The Welcome
Center

We are dedicated to creating a warm, homelike environment where children and youth can find solace and stability during their transition periods. Located in a peaceful neighborhood in Sacramento County, our facility is designed to provide compassionate care and unwavering, trauma-informed support to children aged zero through 17 who are navigating the challenging period between placements.

Our facility is designed to accommodate up to six children and youth at a time, allowing us to provide individualized attention and a sense of community. We are committed to making each child feel safe, valued, and supported throughout their stay

NextStep

This program has been designed specifically for adolescent girls who have faced extraordinary and heartbreaking challenges such as trafficking, abuse, and severe neglect.

The NextStep Program will provide a comprehensive, intensive therapeutic experience designed to support each girl's unique needs. Our team includes dedicated Mental Health Workers, Mental Health Rehabilitation Specialists, and Therapists who work collaboratively to offer individualized care.
