August 2006 Needs and projects
Location: Progress Ranch, Grove site, 2725 Loyola Drive, Davis. 753-2566.
House Manager: Carlos Whyles
I. Grove Therapy room - We utilize the therapy room for weekly group therapy for both houses. The individual therapists also see clients in this room for weekly therapy.
A. Supplies for the therapist
- 12 action figures about 4-5 inches long (no army men) Can be fictional/fantasy figures, ie, power rangers, animals, etc.
B. Projects:
- Paint the walls, baseboard replacement, and the bathroom.
- Replace the carpet; labor and materials - try to get donated.
- Procure 6 large bean bag chairs (colors: blue, yellow, green).
- Drywall repair in bathroom.
- Need for curtain and curtain rod/hardware.
- Cleaning of tx room shower
II. SAND BOX, BACK YARD - Request $ needed or donation to purchase 2 scoops of sand, shovels (square nose) and 2 wheelbarrows. $ needed for cover that can easily be removed and to recover box.
A. Refill sandbox. Have a scoop of sand delivered to the driveway. Use wheelbarrows to haul to box and dump.
B. Sand box toys could also be procured at the local thrift shops.
III.. Maintenance & repair
A. Van. The van is in need of some body work.
B. Dump run with someone that has a pick up. $ needed for dump run.
C. Cleanup of garbage area- may include some remodeling.
D. Reestablish a garden (vegetable and herbs) in the northwest corner of the back yard.
E. Front yard: Tree trimming, shrub pruning, and bulb planting.
F. Interior: replacement of two doorways.
G. Kitchen sink needs patching.
H. Living room light fixture needs to be replaced with a unit already acquired.
I. All light bulbs must be covered. Note and replace all broken fixtures.
J. Bike repair of all bikes needing repair.
K. Tutor room sliding door not operating smoothly. Check rollers and square of frame.
